A short cookie page, because this site sets very few — and none at all unless you agree to them.

What this site uses

We count visits using Google Analytics, but only if you agree first. Until you do, nothing from Google is loaded at all — no tag, no cookie, not even a request. If you decline, or simply ignore the notice, the site works exactly the same and nothing is recorded. You can change your mind by clearing this site’s data in your browser.

One third party is involved, on two pages only: our contact and wholesale forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to keep spam out. That is described below.

The cookies that may be set are the ones needed to serve the site: our hosting and caching software may set a cookie so that pages load quickly and correctly, and WordPress sets cookies if someone signs in to manage the site. These are strictly necessary, which is why you are not being asked to consent to them.

Spam protection on our forms

Our contact and wholesale forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to tell a person from an automated script. On those two pages — and only those two — your browser loads a small file from Cloudflare, which means Cloudflare can see that a request came from your device.

Turnstile is used instead of the more familiar puzzle boxes precisely because it does not profile you, does not track you across websites and is not used for advertising. It is there to stop the forms filling up with junk, which is a strictly necessary purpose.

Fonts and images

The typefaces used on this site are served from our own server, not from a font network. Photographs are served from our own server too. Apart from the spam protection on the two form pages described above, browsing this site does not load anything from another company.

If that changes

We are likely to add a map and a social media feed to this site. Both would load content from another company and could set their own cookies. When we add them we will update this page, and we will ask for your consent where consent is required.

Managing cookies

You can delete or block cookies in your browser’s settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site working properly.
